It was my birthday yesterday, but everyone's wantin' to fight everyone right now--

But that's not important anyway! What's important is we gotta defend the City from the corruption of the masses and of the leaders that wanna make it their own backyard or somethin'! This is a place for everyone, not just you people who've got money!

After a year here, I thought I've seen lotsa stuff here in this City, but this is somethin' new! When I look at people I get hit by visions or somethin' like that. Some visions are weird, some are nice, some are kinda freaky . . . wonder what that means!

When people look at me, do they get weird visions too?

Wonder what's gonna happen on my birthday . . . it's so close too! Whoa! It's gonna be my second here in the City! Hope there's no ugly curse goin' on on that day 'cause I'm so gonna PARTY!

Lotsa stuff's been happening around the City I can't even keep track of it all. It's either stuff's burstin' into flame or there's that crazy bear poppin' up.

Weird, I've already been here over a year . . . not complaining, though! I'm doin' lots of fun stuff here!

[Suddenly, it scurries close, black nose sniffing the camera enthusiastically.]

[The camera topples off the table, and the surprised weasel jumps down to peer at it before running off for more misadventures.]

Is that stupid curse over yet? The City better have given everyone's memories back!

What's up with the City changin'? First everything was all weird and machine-like, like a train. Then there's a mountain! But never mind that, I have other important things to think about!

Right! So tomorrow's Himura's birthday! I got some saké and I'm gonna fix up all the food! Hey, Himura, how old are ya gonna be again? Well, anyway . . . where do ya wanna celebrate? At the beach? In Xanadu?

And all of Himura's friends, ya better come, okay?

Now, for today, I got my own celebration! Hahahahahaha!

I think I’ve got lots to be happy about, really. I’ve got family—the Oniwabanshuu—Jiya, Ochika-san, Omasu-san, Shiro, Kuro, Aoshi-sama. I’ve got friends—Himura, Kaoru-san, everyone I met here in the City. You’re a lot, but I know ya can all read this, so it’s all good. You know if you’re my friend!

And, most of all, I’ve got Ren—my boyfriend! He’s the best boyfriend ever! He takes care of me, makes me smile, and I really adore and love him!

So there’s lots to be happy about! Isn’t that great?!

[The video feed clicks on, and one can see Misao munching on a doughnut that has MINE written on it in sprinkles.]

[In her other hand, she has a marker.]

[When she finally swallows, she's grinning happily.]

COME HERE, EVERYONE I KNOW!!! I WANNA WRITE SOMETHING ON YOU!!!

[Not very subtle, but Misao has never been subtle . . .]

Too bad Kenji's gone home . . . But Kaoru-san's here now! Great!

[There's a thump as the camera falls onto the floor. Misao can be seen wearing red, satin heels meant for ballroom dancing, and you can see her wincing and flailing as she executes the steps of a cha cha.]

WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?

IS EVERYONE ELSE DANCING TODAY?!

AAAAAAARGH!!!

[And she sashays out of the screen, her braid flying behind her as she screams.]

Yo, Himura, looks like ya broke seven of the cups with the blue flowers, and nine of the green cups . . . Good thing ya didn't spill any of the tea leaves, or that would've been even more expensive . . .

[The sound of scribbling on some paper.]

There, I think that we're done with the inventory!

Good thing lots of people are buyin' tea here, though I think we gotta advertise some more so that more people can find us!
